Acceptable Usage Policy

Purpose:

To outline the acceptable use of the Pitaka platform, ensuring that users understand their responsibilities while using the service, and to protect the integrity, security, and reputation of the platform in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the Philippines.

Scope:

This policy applies to all users of the Pitaka platform, including employees, contractors, and third-party users.

Policy

1. Acceptable Use:

Users are expected to use the Pitaka platform in a lawful and responsible manner, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in fraudulent or illegal transactions.
  • Distributing malware or other harmful software.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users’ accounts.
  • Sharing account credentials with others or allowing unauthorized access to one’s account.
  • Using the platform for any form of harassment, abuse, or discrimination against other users.

2. Account Security:

Users must take appropriate measures to protect their accounts, including:

  • Utilizing strong PINs and updating them regularly.
  • Enabling two-factor authentication where available.
  • Reporting any suspicious activity or potential security breaches to Pitaka immediately.

3. Content Standards:

Users must ensure that any content shared or posted on the platform complies with community standards and applicable laws.

Prohibited content includes:

  • Offensive, obscene, or defamatory material.
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities.

Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Pitaka platform. Pitaka reserves the right to report any illegal activities to the relevant authorities.

5. Monitoring and Enforcement:

Pitaka may monitor user activity to ensure compliance with this policy. Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary actions, including account suspension or termination, legal action, or other appropriate measures.

6. User Responsibility:

Users are responsible for their actions while using the Pitaka platform and for ensuring that their use complies with this policy. Users should review and understand this policy regularly and remain informed of any changes.

7. Policy Enforcement:

Pitaka reserves the right to enforce this policy at its discretion. Users found in violation may face consequences ranging from warnings to account termination, depending on the severity of the infraction.###
